On the Origin and History of the U.S. Constitution and its 28 Principles of Freedom
Preface to Donald Conkey's Constitution Observations monthly e-newsletters:
While I have been the person who has written these e-newsletters, I want to acknowledge that the material contained in these e-newsletters has been edited down, with permission, from the writing of Dr. W. Cleon Skousen, and others - but mainly from Dr. Skousen's two books "The Making of America - The Substance and Meaning of the Constitution," and "The Majesty of God's Laws - Its coming to America."
The "Making of America" was written to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the signing of America's Constitution on September 17, 1787. The Majesty of God's Law was published in 1996 by Ensign Publishing. Both of these books are recommended reading for anyone interested in the "Origin and History" of the U.S. Constitution. Another item worthy of adding to one?s library is the video "A More Perfect Union." It tells about the trials and strong debates that occurred during that four month process of writing the Constitution in 1787. It is a video every home should have, and review often.
